Big Bear Lake is a close-by staycation that’s away from it all! It’s an easy two-hour drive from most Southern California communities, a three-hour drive from Las Vegas, and it only costs a tank of gas to get to the mountain resort. This August, Big Bear guests won’t need to fret about the cost of high gas prices because Big Bear Visitors Bureau (BBVB) rewards its guests who book an overnight stay a FREE $25 gas card. To receive the Free Gas Card Promotion, guests must book their Big Bear accommodations anytime during the month of August for check-in dates now through November 23, 2015. Reservations must be booked online at BigBear.com or by calling a vacation specialist at (800) 424-4232.

“It looks like gas prices will continue to skyrocket, so we want to give vacation planners gas-saving alternatives,” said Big Bear Visitors Bureau Director of Visitors Information Services Monique Rangel.

A summer getaway to Big Bear Lake is ideal for those who wish to escape the heat and enjoy the great outdoors! Big Bear especially satisfies those who need a break from the urban grind. The scenery along Big Bear’s mountain highways is worth the drive in itself. Fresh air, blue skies, shady evergreens, and mellow temperatures combine to deliver a great drive with a gas card reward at the end. Some favorite summertime activities in Big Bear include fishing, hiking, boating, kayaking, flyboarding, ziplining, wakeboarding, mountain biking, and golf.

Come autumn, Big Bear lodges typically offer lower room rates during the off-peak period. Smart travelers who wish to visit Big Bear in the fall should plan their trip now to receive the bonus gas card.

The Free Gas Card Promotion must be booked anytime during the month of August. The check-in dates are Aug. 1, 2015 through Nov. 23, 2015. Reservations must be booked online at BigBear.com or by calling a vacation specialist at (800) 424-4232.  Minimum night stays vary per lodge, and other restrictions may apply. The Free Gas Card Promotion must be mentioned at the time of booking and is valid for new reservations only. A $25 Shell Gas Card redeemable at participating Shell gas stations will be given to the guest at the Big Bear Visitors Center, located at 630 Bartlett Road in Big Bear. Limit one gas card per reservation. This offer may not be used in combination with any other offer.
